
(IROQUOIS FALLS) – The Iroquois Falls OPP are in the midst of completing their investigation into a fire that occurred in a patient’s room at the Anson General Hospital yesterday afternoon.
The OPP attended the scene to render assistance to the Iroquois Falls Fire Department.
The fire was contained to one room only.
The nature and origin of the fire remain under investigation with the assistance of personnel from the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshall.
A 66 year old male person has been transferred to a Toronto area hospital for specialized treatment related to injury sustained during the event.
